Experian Credit Information Report for Consumers
A credit information report plays a key role in a lender’s decision when you apply for credit, so it is important to monitor it on a regular basis to ensure that the credit information is up-to-date and to check for any inaccuracies reported to Experian by your lending institutions. The Experian Credit Information Report is a compilation of your credit history. The data in the Experian Credit Information Report is based on the information provided to us by all our member banks, financial institutions and other credit grantors.
What information does your Experian Credit Information Report cover?
Your Experian Credit Information Report contains information regarding your credit accounts and details of any credit applications you have made. It contains detailed information of your credit/loan history including information about identity, credit accounts/ loans/ credit cards, payments, recent enquiries, etc.
You can access your Experian Credit Information Report upon payment of the requisite fees. It is also available to the lenders carrying out a credit check through Experian.
What are the benefits of obtaining a copy of your Experian Credit Information Report?
As your credit history plays a key role in your ability to obtain credit and determining the terms, it is important to understand the information that is shared by the lenders with a credit information company, such as Experian. By understanding your credit history it enables you to take control of your financial situation, make informed financial decisions and also helps to protect yourself from identity theft.
What does Experian Credit Score mean?
Your Experian Credit Information Report contains detailed information of your credit/loan history. The Experian Credit Score is a numeric summary derived from your repayment history of previous and/or existing loans, credit cards, and from the enquiries performed by banks and financial institutions based on your loan application. Your Experian Credit Score is based on the information in your Experian Credit Information Report. The higher the score, the more favourably it is considered by banks and financial institutions.
How do I obtain my Experian Credit Information Report and Experian Credit Score online?
You can obtain your Experian Credit Information Report and Experian Credit Score online for a fee of ₹399 (including taxes), by completing the application form and authenticating yourself by answering certain questions based on your credit/ loan accounts and credit cards.
On successful completion of online authentication, you shall get your Experian Credit Information Report and Experian Credit Score online in real-time, and a copy of the same will be emailed to your verified email address.
Can I obtain only my Experian Credit Information Report?
Yes, you can obtain only your Experian Credit Information Report.
I. Please download the Experian Credit Information Report “Application Form” or call us at 022 6641 9000 and request for the Application Form to be sent to you.
II. Please complete the required details on the application form (don’t forget to sign it!).
III. To establish your identity and ensure that only you have access to your Experian Credit Information Report, we require you to send us self-attested photocopies (a signed and dated photocopy) of the following documents:
(a) Identity Proof (any one of the following documents)
(i) PAN card (recommended)
(iii) Voters ID
(b) Address Proof (any one of the following documents and the address proof should display your name)
(i) Electricity bill (no more than 3 months old and for your current address)
(ii) Telephone bill (no more than 3 months old and for your current address)
(iii) Latest bank statement (no more than 3 months old and for your current address)
(v) Lease / license deed
(vi) Sale / purchase deed
IV. We charge a nominal fee of ₹138 (₹100/- for the Experian Credit Information Report + ₹38 for Indian Speed Post and associated taxes). You can choose from any one of the following payment options:
a) Pay by demand draft payable in Mumbai and made in favour of “ECICI Private Limited”. The demand draft should be valid for 3 months; or
b) Pay via National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) through your net banking facility click here for details; or
c) Pay at any of the 65,000 branches of more than 89 banks having NEFT facility. Please click here to view a list of NEFT enabled banks and its branches as listed by the RBI.
V. Please send us the completed and signed application form along with your identity proof and address proof and either demand draft or receipt for the NEFT payment or receipt for your payment at a bank branch:

Upon receipt, we will verify and validate the information provided by you with the latest records provided by our members and as maintained by us. After authenticating your identity and confirming your address we will dispatch your Experian Credit Information Report.
